No doubt this has been seen before but it was new to me. Dopisy V Krajkach (2000) seems to have been a Czech TV drama about the decadence in pre-revolutionary France.

Not much to say this week – mostly because my time is in freefall and we have visitors. Consequently I am late in reply to comments and email.
The holidays beckon and I am nowhere near being ready. Usually I take a lap-top and write while I am away, but I suspect that I won’t be able to this year. So if the posts drop off somewhat you will know why. Nonetheless, there is still time and for a change it is hot, hot, hot.

This blog was down for much of Sunday for reasons the host serve manager could not explain. Oddly though visitor numbers were the highest it has been for weeks. Hopefully that is the end of that hiccough.
Much to do and so little time to do it – but that seems to be the story of my life lately. So it is that the Weekly Round-Up is a little late and I even missed a post last week. But it seems a little quiet all round; anyway, enough of that.

A pinch and a punch the first of the month, or pinch and a spank the summer has tanked, no? Well okay but where did it go? So already it is the first round-up of the autumn.
An advert for quirts in a Sears Roebuck catalogue back in the day included an introduction for the ‘lighter’ model. Apparently the shorter ‘third-weight’ size was perfect for applying to difficult wives as it could be felt through heavy prairie clothing without ‘harming your lady.’ Perfect apparently for those quick corrections.
