This may be old news to some, especially Dr Who fans, but for years there have been rumours of a lost spanking episode of Dr Who. The legend goes that a serial of four episodes entitled Prison in Space was scripted and rehearsed to be shown in or around 1967.

I had always assumed that this was a joke or at the very least a bit of fan fiction, but as diehard Whovians will know back in 2010 Big Finish productions revived this script for a BBC audio (visual?) tape production after the script was found by original Dr Who actor Frazer Hines in his garage.

The story stars Frazer and his former co-star Wendy Padbury who revive their original roles as Dr Who companions and narrate the whole thing. I have not heard it myself but one review suggests that it is heavy with BDSM imaginary and was originally intended to feature racy skimpy costumes.

However, this was not the reason it was not made. Apparently the producers felt it was too comic and bordered on farce and shelved it.

The story itself concerns a satirical story line where in the future society is ruled by women and any dissenters are sent to this prison in space. Never one to shy away from supressing tyranny the Doctor and his companions, 21^st century Zoe (Wendy Padbury) and Scottish Highlander Jamie (Frazer Hines), decide to intervene.

Controversially the story includes a shower scene and more to the point for readers here a ‘long spanking.’ Jamie, a character who was apparently often threatening to take a belt to young girls on the show, actually spanks Zoe to re-programme her.

I understand that the story itself is mostly if not entirely audio but there is a suggestion in the review that there are art stills (see above) to support the narrative.

I wish I had more time for these round-ups (why is that always a theme here?) but the truth is I don’t have as much opportunity to visit the glorious work of my fellow bloggers as I would like. Nevertheless there is a lot to find out there, notwithstanding Tumblr’s determination to close so many blogs.

On a lighter note many people have had time to send me pictures, anecdotes and many other interesting little snippets. I hope I have thanked everyone individually for their contributions and do so again here publically. Be assured that no identifying information will be published (reckless of one or two of you to share certain pieces of information) and material will only be used in an agreed format. Much of what has been sent has been used and there is more to come, but one or two of you have agreed firstly to be heavily edited (where needed) without ranker and to allow some material to be held back for possible use in a future project; more on that at a later date.

Can I remind people though that only anecdotes about women over 18 can be used as a matter of standing policy? It would be helpful if those commenting would bare that in mind too.

One of my earliest memories of exposure to spanking was through comics. Mostly it was a school setting and there was something about it that intrigued me. It was pure gold when I girl was getting spanked or caned although these incidents were rare.

As I got older and Marvel beckoned Susan Storm (AKA The Invisible Woman) was a regular recipient and I began to see that not only was there was spanking beyond school but that apparently women were never too old to be spanked. In fact in comic world women were more likely to be spanked than schoolgirls.

I did not realise then that the golden age had passed and that gender politics had reared its boring but necessary head even in comics so I missed out on many great scenes. It was remiss of me to favour Marvel over DC as the latter was much slower in embracing political correctness and even in my day spankings seem to have been more frequent in these comics.

Looking back what surprises me (or would have in those days) is the amount of romance magazines aimed at girls that included spanking. Some of the pictures I have discovered are probably from adult BD comics from the continent and would not have been available to me until much later anyway.

Another Saturday short . I think this has done the rounds before but it is only vaguely familiar so I thought it was worth an outing. It is from a lighthearted Brazilian soap opera called Modern Times and features the spanking of an adult by her boss or possibly her father.

I particularly like the small audience cheering him on. I suspect she might have been a deserving brat.

The Spank Statement continues to get better. Last week they had a post on Men are like street cars; a 1950s play that seems to have generated an unusual number of spanking pictures.  Richard Windsor has been publishing many scenes from this play for months, but it was good to see a single post digest on this subject.

The Statement, which until recently was rather quiet is not publishing many such articles and is well worth checking out.

Punished Brats (pictured above) is on a membership drive and is threatening to close. Now you may not pay for content too often, not when evil people like me publish for free, but although I have generated millions of words of original copy the movies and pictures out there need paying for.

Not all pay for sites are that good admittedly, but others that are worth a look are perhaps, Shadow Lane, Dallas Spanks Hard and Dreams of Spanking (pictured above). There are many others which I may review sometime, or you could.

This is another popular and familiar TV spanking from the 1970s. It is from a farcical  Sci-Fi series included within the Two Ronnie’s TV show, which was mainstream on Saturday nights in the UK.

The premise is that in the future women rule the country and men have to secretly get together to watch old John Wayne movies.

According to Ronnie Barker’s autobiography the spankee was a volunteer from the crew, a script girl.

An old work mate of mine used to mock our colleagues in the American office and their can do – no problemo attitude. I can hear him and his pseudo estuary accent on the phone to Washington even now; “Yes mate there is a problem, so spare me the hype and fix it.”

I only call this to mind because I was reminded this morning of another one of his little quips in the face of Americanisms, ‘people who hit the ground running usually fall flat on their face; any fool knows that you have to bend your knees when you hit the ground.’

Okay so I am waffling, but I have a cascading to do list that is in freefall and why is it still dark? People even want to know about my Christmas plans! I knew I should have been a pagan.

Lots of comments this week, I am sorry I am slow in replying. I notice that it has been a while since some of our old friends have dropped by. They know who they are.

I have also noticed that several sites have taken to reblogging my posts. This might be why the traffic is shooting up. I noticed that around three hours ago A Voice passed the 11 millionth visit mark. I am not going to post on this (other than here in passing) I’ll wait until 15 or 20 million (should we get that far) to crow about it. I remember when I used to proudly announce 10,000 visitors (about a day’s worth now) before quickly having to only mark the 100,000 landmark. It is funny how perspectives change.

So a word to all those new blogs announced over at Blossom and Thorn, stick with it and you will get there. You don’t have to hit the ground running, it is a marathon, not a sprint.

Here is another curio from the original 1970s TV sci-fi The Tomorrow People. US actress (as they were called back then) Sandra Dickinson (an alien girl called Emily) is spanked by Nicholas Young who played the original John character, who is still featured in the latest US remake of the show.

In this episode of the show aliens visit Earth with a very different view of how men should be treated and kidnap John and torture him into cooperating. The scene below is the climax where he has escaped and is attempting to resolve the situation.

Contrast this with the comedy sketch from the Two Ronnies featured here a few week’s back. Reverse gender roles resolved by spanking seems to have been a theme of the 1970s.

Interestingly, in this episode Sandra appeared alongside her later husband Peter Davidson who went on to play Dr Who.

Ms Dickinson also played Trillian in the early 1980s TV version of Hitch Hikers guide to the Galaxy.

Tomorrow People

I came across this drawing by artist Joan Pelaez, which features two women in a curious rustic spanking scene. Pelaez is the illustrator for Spanking Tails but this work is new to me. Nor can I say much about the artist or find many other examples of her work.

I have had some great feedback lately so thanks to everyone who has commented, sent in kind wishes and for the contributions.

It is cold and wet here and I think I am going to bail on writing as soon as I have finished this post.

I don’t suppose this picture has anything to do with it, but there was a brief story about a mass caning of young women in a secretarial school in Korea. Apparently some teacher lost his rag with a whole class. The story was accompanied by a grainy newspaper photo of genuinely welted bottoms half exposed like those above.

I found the story online  a few weeks back at 2.30 in the morning and didn’t read it properly. I left it open on my desk so I could return to it but the damn PC did an auto update and rebooted overnight. I wasn’t going to bother with it as a post, being so vague, but after seeing this picture I thought I would run it up the flag pole to see if anyone saw the same story.

When Siobhan was 18, by her own admission she rather immaturely teased a young man at her college. It was all she could think of to get his attention. This was back in the 1980s but she still remembers it vividly. He was a big rugby sort and not one of the intellectuals and politicos she normally hung out with.

He responded to her bratty attitude by threaten her with a spanking. Of course she was embarrassed, so much so that she redoubled her efforts at provoking him to cover this embarrassment. She doesn’t recall what she said exactly, but one might imagine that she told him that he wouldn’t dare.

He then proceeded to put her across his knee and spank her in front of everyone on the seat of her jeans. It hurt she says and she was utterly mortified especially when she couldn’t pretend that it didn’t and had to plead and apologise to make him stop.

She fled the scene red-faced and confused with everyone laughing at her.

But the strange thing was that the whole episode was sexually arousing for her, even the humiliation; something that completely confused her given the climate of that time. She remembers standing in front of the mirror and looking at the redness on her bottom.

It began a lifelong interest or even obsession in being spanked and spanking scenes, but even at the time she got a thrill form being teased about it and even loved to tell people who hadn’t been there as she feigned horror.

A similar confusion, although less openly admitted, beset a good friend of my girlfriend in college, also during the 1980s. The rumours about this girl were that she was terrified of her mother and the more creative speculation was that she was still spanked. My girlfriend even hinted as much but wouldn’t be drawn on the issue.

Both girls went to France for a few months to study and whilst there this girl in question got a spanking similar to the one above after teasing a French boy.

My GF and her gang were impressed at the way she became utterly submissive and apologetic during and after this event. Whilst being asked by the more sympathetic girls if she was alright apparently the girl let slip that she ‘always felt shy afterwards.’

Always; were the rumours true then?

Who knows if she retained any spanking interest but she, like Siobhan, remained good friends with her spanker. But her alleged use of the word ‘shy’ chimes with this account pulled from Collarme:

We weren’t really punished growing up but when I went to live with my older sister in my first year of college she sometimes spanked me in a kind of semi-serious jokey way. I even got it on the bare bum a couple of times coming out of the bath and stuff. I always felt a kind of thrill but it certainly worked on me because instead of giving my sister a hard time I always became sort of shy.

There was this one time this happened with some friends there. I teased my sister a bit too much and she chased me around the house and ended up spanking me on my knickers in the back room where the others could see. This was the worst spanking I ever got from her and she really made it count. She actually spanked me long and hard enough so that even when she made me face the wall I did as I was told.

It was so embarrassing and I was teased mercilessly afterwards, but all the while it was happening and long afterwards I felt squirmy, shy, comfortably meek and a whole mix of emotions. I don’t think I was made a spanko from this, but I think I began to find out that I found out I was.

These accounts are all very compelling and lived in the imagination with every hint of such things when growing up. Such ideas are the building blocks and fuel for some of the stories here and to understand them is to understand the nature of the submissive.

Okay so this might not be a coffee morning, more like some kind of sex therapy party. But two women demonstrate how a woman can be spanked to orgasm. No idea what is going on but everyone seems to be having a great time.

I sometimes wonder what the reader of this blog imagines about how and where it is written. I have spoken about my attic and my castle high on a hill in London, perhaps I have even mentioned the open fire and antique desk, it is hard now to recall.

Today the open fire isn’t lit and in any case it is a long way from the attic, which is not a metaphorical attic, although sadly the castle is.

On a good week I will sit contemplatively on a Sunday afternoon and write what will be the next day’s (today’s post), with great deliberation scanning and reading all the blogs out there. On a bad week I sit at my desk (in the attic until the study is decorated) on a busy Monday waiting for people to call me back and squeezing a line out between appointments.

Today is such a day and I can’t in all honesty say I have given Spankville the attention it deserves, but you already knew that since many of these round-ups are written at such times. So unfortunately this post is more about me than the others, but stay with it.

I have had a lot (and I do mean quite a bit) of interest in Abraham Heights and people variously suggesting, urging, willing, begging, threatening and demanding that I post a new instalment. Most of these people are rather keen on Donna and her adventures, which is both gratifying and challenging.

The original intention of this series was to write loosely connected random stand-alone shorts that would perhaps over time paint a picture of an impossible town somewhere in provincial America. This is still my hope.

The town was originally born in a short story called the Tutor, which does not even mention Abraham Heights and began to take shape in a story called The Abraham Heights Pre-Scool Graduation Barbecue.

Tomorrow there will be another standalone short just to keep the pot boiling, although it will not feature any of the current characters.

Nor is this only story that has been in demand. Ad Astra, Raw and even Angela have been asked after and all will get an airing in the middling future; so too will the Sinclair Method which has stalled a little but still on the desk so to speak, and will be revisited soon.

There is also a huge demand for Magic and many of you want to buy it all again. It is a huge work and edits and rewrites (to sharpen it and shake out plot errors) are halfway through. I may even write a couple of extra chapters.

Anyway, that is enough about all of that, on to the rest of the round-up.

I have some rather exciting news this week, but more on that in a moment. I must confess that I have had trouble finding a lot happening this week, visits too are down and I wonder if everyone is away. Spankville certainly seems to have slowed down somewhat.

That got me thinking about what I look at and why. For instance, I usually just work the list on the right and then throw in some other stuff I chanced upon. There is no particular reason why some things are included and others not. If you are a blogger you may think, hey DJ didn’t give that post of mine a mention and it was the best thing I have ever done. My apologies, it probably was, I just wasn’t paying attention or forgot to write it up when I came to this post.

It must be the same for others. These days I get picked up quite a bit elsewhere, but it is never what you expect; so much so that I never expect.

This week we have story coming up and I hope to return to the Sinclair Method and other material. It is also Love Our Lurker’s this week. Don’t feel you have to comment, for me the point is the acknowledgment that you are there. In fact as much as I appreciate comments, I would rather readers than writers so you are the stars.

My girl indoors is a published author and has been running spanking forums (I am English not Latin) and blogs off and on for years. For some time now she had been pouting about me publishing the odd letter and post by other women. Then the other day she wrote something and wondered if I might publish it.

To say I would be delighted is an understatement, in fact it looks (I hope) as if this will become a regular feature on this blog. I am not sure what she is going to write, I rather suspect she is going to give away some of our domestic secrets, which I rarely do, but that is up to her.

Unfortunately she is unable to fully engage on the comment front for reasons some of you will know and others will have to guess at. Sorry to be so mysterious, one day I will explain. But in any case sometime in the next couple of weeks Indigo will be posting here.
